Studio G to commence in Cairns this July
Autism Queensland's popular Studio G post-school program will commence in Cairns this July.
Studio G is a games, animation and interactive design program to help young people aged 16-24 years with ASD to develop vital social, job and life skills that runs in school terms across the year. Students in years 11 and 12 are also welcome.
The program runs 1-4pm, Tuesday and Thursdays for four terms of 10 weeks each year. 2017 Fees are $1200 per 10-week term and participants are required to provide their own laptop.
The Studio G program doesn't just build technical or computer skills. It also provides a nurturing and supportive environment to let young people develop social skills, self-confidence and ultimately work readiness.
The curriculum is self-directed and there is no certificate at the end. The program provides the young people who participate with a social network, an opportunity to succeed and a path to employment or more training.
