Nominations open for annual recognition awards
Nominations are open for Autism Queensland's annual Creative Futures Recognition Awards at which it recognises the outstanding achievements of individuals on the autism spectrum, parents/carers, professionals, schools, businesses, community organisations, volunteers and others.through our Creative Futures Recognition Awards.
In 2019 they will again be offered in five categories:
Individual Achievement - this award recognises the personal achievement of individuals of any age on the autism spectrum.
Parent/Carer - this Award recognises the valued contributions of parents and carers and the role they play in supporting individuals on the spectrum.
Professional Achievement - this award is presented to professionals working in the ASD field (eg teacher, therapist etc) who has a demonstrable track record of professional excellence in their chosen discipline.
School/Community - this award recognises excellence by a school/community organisation/business delivering education/support to individuals on the autism spectrum.
Autism Queensland will also acknowledge outstanding patronage and/or philanthropic support of an individual or business for the organisation.
Nominations close at 4.30pm, Friday 18 October.
Finalists will be notified shortly after and invited to attend a special event hosted by the Governor of Queensland and Autism Queensland Patron His Excellency Paul de Jersey AM and Mrs Kaye de Jersey at Government House on Tuesday 3 December. Winners will be announced at this event.
