We want your input for TravelTRAINing
Autism Queensland is seeking input from individuals, parents/carers and support workers for the Travel TRAINing program.
This is a 10-week program for individuals aged 15 years and up who interested in learning more about train travel or who would like to start catching the train.
The pilot, developed in association with Down Syndrome Queensland and conducted with support from Queensland Rail, involved helping participants learn how to plan a train journey, the etiquette involved in train travel, safety and how to plan for the unexpected.
We now seek input from individuals and those who support them about what they would like to see included in the programs.
Focus groups are scheduled at Autism Queensland, 437 Hellawell Road, Sunnybank Hills on Thursday, November 7 and November 14. Two sessions are planned for each day - participants (3.30pm-4.30pm); parents/carers and support workers (5pm-6pm).
