Please find following an update and overview of COVID-19 screening procedures and safety measures for all Autism Queensland sites and services.
Mandatory temperature screening
Following the latest concerns of a new round of outbreaks in Queensland, the decision has been made to include mandatory temperature checks for ALL clients accessing face to face services at Autism Queensland.
In addition, all staff who are in contact with these clients or who are working in areas accessed by our clients must be temperature screened before accessing the site. Any visitors who may access these areas must also undergo temperature checking.
Temperature screening can be used to identify the presence of fever, a common symptom of coronavirus. We have instigated this measure as an additional measure to protect the health of our clients and staff.
Symptoms & information based on Health Alerts
Clients/carers/visitors will also be asked if they have any symptoms that may be indicative of COVID-19. They may also be asked to confirm if they have visited any venues, area or flights the Queensland Government has identified as possible sites for transmission of COVID-19.
What to do if you/your child feel unwell?
Please stay at home and call to let us know you/your child is unwell and stay there until the symptoms resolve. If any of the symptoms include the following we recommend you visit a fever clinic for testing.
- Sore throat
- Difficulty breathing.
If a positive test is received please contact us immediately and follow medical advice.
