EmployABLE for Participants
EmployABLE provides autism specific, bespoke participant-led support for adults aged 18-30*.
Professional staff with autism expertise support adults on the spectrum to discover their interests, marketable strengths and skills in relation to working in an open employment environment.
We get to know each participant, create employment goals using our own goal setting tool and focus on work-related skill development such as social-communication, disclosure of diagnosis, self-advocacy and workplace expectations.
Many aspects of social communication relating to understanding work types, identifying work goals, applying for work, interviews, starting work and thriving in the workplace are covered according to individual need. As well as supporting individuals into meaningful employment, we also assist participants with pre-employment preparation, work experience and job trials where appropriate.
