Positive Behaviour Guidance Workshop Bookings Open

These free online workshops are part of AQ's new Positive Behaviour Guidance Project and are scheduled from 1 August.
The foundational workshops are a key component of positive behaviour guidance supports Autism Queensland is delivering to educators working in kindergartens, family day care, long day care and outside hours school care as part of the Queensland Government’s Early Childhood Guidance program pilot. These workshops will be delivered through Teams and bookings are essential via the link below.
Positive behaviour guidance is a proactive approach that fosters children’s self-expression, self-reliance, self-esteem. It enables educators to develop positive relationships with children while respecting cultural values, individual development, and maintaining the dignity and rights of each individual.
These interactive and collaborative workshops will unpack five core topics:
- What is Positive Behaviour Guidance
- Positive Relationships
- Regulation
- Setting Up for Success
- Strengthening Supports
They are available in full day, 2 half-day, or 5 x 1.5 hour online sessions to accommodate for varying schedules and workplace demands.
Follow up workshops will be scheduled as the project progresses, along with tailored resources designed to integrate theory into practice, information papers and tip sheets.
