Positive Behaviour Guidance Supports Now Available
13 Jun 2024
Autism Queensland is pleased to offer Positive Behaviour Guidance supports to early childhood services as part of the Queensland Government’s Early Childhood Guidance (ECG) program pilot.
Over the course of 18 months, this service will be freely available to all regulated early childhood services in Queensland.
It is designed to support teachers and educators working in early childhood services regulated under the National Quality Framework (NQF) or Education and Care Services Act 2013 (ECS Act). Eligible services include:
- Sessional kindergartens
- Family day cares
- Long day cares
- Outside school hours care services.
AQ will deliver foundational and follow-up workshops and webinars to teachers and educators in these settings, along with tailored resources to integrate theory into practice. Additional resources, such as information papers and tip sheets, will also be provided.
On-demand support will be available Monday-Friday, 8.30am-3.30pm via phone, email or telepractice.
This free and accessible service aims to enhance the skills, confidence and knowledge of early childhood teachers and educators in using Positive Behaviour Guidance strategies in their settings.
