Target participants: Parents/carers

Advocating for your child/children with disability is frequently required in the role of a parent. However, engaging in proactive and positive communication with your child’s key networks can be challenging to navigate and can sometimes lead to feelings of frustration and uncertainty about where to seek help.

This interactive webinar for parents and carers will explore strategies for advocating for the implementation of reasonable supports for individuals on the autism spectrum across various contexts, including school and community settings.

Topics will include:

  • What are your child’s rights?
  • What supports are possible in inclusive settings?
  • How can you work positively and proactively with your child’s network, including school and community stakeholders?
  • How can you ensure your voice, and that of your child’s, is heard?
  • Where to go for more information and support?

Questions and sharing of information/ideas is encouraged and highly desirable to enhance learning outcomes for all.

This webinar will be presented on Zoom. You will be emailed a secure login link prior to commencement.
