  • Autistic women, Educators, Therapists, Professionals, parents/carers.

This is a two-part webinar that will identify some of the barriers faced by autistic women, but also celebrate and empower them, support their journey to self-discovery, and help provide insight and understanding into their authentic self.

Whether self-identifying or formally diagnosed, misunderstanding and judgment is often something commonly experienced by many autistic women.  The divergence from the traditional male presentation is one major barrier to clinicians and other professional recognising autism and understanding the experiences of autistic women.

Skill mastery in masking and camouflaging, common to many autistic women, can take a significant toll on mental health and lead to autistic burnout.  Diagnosis or self-identification can help begin the process of unmasking and support the journey of becoming their authentic self.

The content has been developed with autistic women, parents of autistic women and professionals working with autistic women.
