ABOUT

Behaviours of concern may be highly stressful for the autistic person and those around them. It is crucial for parents/carers and professionals to understand what those reasons may be, to provide effective support.

This interactive webinar will explore why behaviours of concern may occur and introduce positive and proactive strategies for understanding and supporting autistic people.

TOPICS
  • Understanding underlying reasons for behaviour that may be of concern
  • Understanding stress responses
  • Positive, proactive strategies for reducing behaviours of concern.

This introductory workshop is appropriate for all participants and provides a solid foundation of understanding behaviour.  It is recommended participants later attend the workshop Putting Positive Behaviour Support into Practice to further their understanding and broaden their toolkit of strategies and supports.
