Circle of Security Parenting™

The Circle of Security Parenting™ program is based on decades of research about how secure parent-child relationships can be supported and strengthened.

At times all parents feel lost or without a clue about what our child might need from us. Imagine what it might feel like if you were able to make sense of what your child was really asking from you.

Children do not come with an instruction manual, they are the instruction manual. This program helps parents learn to read the emotional needs of their children, build their reflective parenting skills and help their children better manage their emotions. Children with autism often express their needs differently to neurotypical children and may need these needs met in a different way. Exploring the needs of your child with a clinician experienced in autism and with other parents of children with autism will assist you in building your parental confidence and connect with other parents of children with autism.

Learning Objectives of the Program:

  • Understand your child’s emotional world by learning to read the emotional needs.
  • Support your child’s ability to successfully manage emotions.
  • Enhance the development of your child’s self esteem.
  • Honor your innate wisdom and desire for your child to be secure.

Key audience: parents of young children (ages 0-6)
