This session is for staff working within the OSHC environment.
In this session, the facilitator will discuss:
The characteristics of ASD
The impact of ASD on individuals
The importance of understanding the individual in order to support inclusion and maximise participation
Targeted strategies to address identified issues within the OSHC environment
The importance of an individual profile
Participants will have an opportunity to complete and take home an individual learning profile.
The facilitator will discuss examples and cases to highlight challenges and strategies which may be useful for the individual. Questions and sharing of information/ideas is encouraged and highly desirable to enhance learning outcomes for all.
