BRISBANE - Autism: Theories & Therapy (a workshop for OTs and SLPs)

This workshop is designed for occupational therapists and speech therapists who support individuals on the autism spectrum. It is appropriate for therapists working in private, education, disability and health sectors.
Participants will gain an understanding of the theoretical underpinnings of autism, as well as current evidence-informed approaches and practical strategies.
The facilitators will discuss examples and cases to highlight challenges and strategies that may be useful for client-centred planning.
Participants will have opportunities for collaborative discussions with professionals in their field. Questions and sharing of information/ideas are encouraged and highly desirable to enhance learning outcomes.
