BRISBANE - Understanding and Managing Stress in Individuals on the Autism Spectrum

This workshop will explore the presentation of stress in individuals with ASD.
Participants will be guided to consider and develop supports and strategies that may be used to reduce the impact of stress for the individual. Video, discussions and case examples will be used to illustrate useful strategies within three areas:
Identification of stress triggers and factors contributing to stress for the individual
Immediate support and exit/safety plans
Longer term supports including self-regulation.
This workshop is recommended for individuals on the autism spectrum and those people living with and/or working to support them.
