In this session, the facilitator will discuss:
The characteristics of autism
The impact of autism on individuals
The importance of understanding the individual in order to enhance engagement and learning outcomes
Practical strategies when supporting individuals on the autism spectrum.
Examples and cases will be discussed to highlight challenges and strategies which may be useful for the individual. Questions and sharing of information/ideas are encouraged and highly desirable to enhance learning outcomes for all.
This workshop is suitable for anyone interested in learning more about autism and inclusive strategies to assist individuals on the spectrum.
