This full day workshop will highlight strategies for inclusion of school students on the autism spectrum as identified by research, experience and feedback from students and school staff.
Topics covered by the facilitator will include:
The characteristics and impacts of autism
Incorporating learning strengths
Supporting change and transitions
Breaks to sustain learning
The social aspects of learning.
This workshop is suitable for Queensland teacher CPD Annual Requirements, Australian Professional Standards for Teaching 1, 3, 4.
