PARENT/CARER WEBINAR | Promoting Independent Learning at Home
Webinar - 13:00 - 14:30
Please join us for this interactive online webinar for parents, carers and others supporting a child’s learning in a home environment. This particular workshop will focus on the support of children on the autism spectrum in the Kindergarten/Primary School age group.
The many changes we are currently facing each day can create difficulties for parents and children alike.
Some impacts caused by the uncertainty may include increased stress, unpredictability and challenges in engaging children in learning activities at home.
To support a young person’s need for predictability and to develop independent learning skills, structured teaching can be highly effective. This set of learning techniques has been found to enhance the capacity of children to engage longer and transition between tasks more easily.
