2017 RESEARCH TO PRACTICE SERIES - Supporting the social & emotional wellbeing of students with ASD

Topics in this seminar will include:

  • Introduction to the concepts of social & emotional well-being of people with ASD
  • "Too anxious to achieve: A quantitative investigation of anxiety and academic achievement in Autistic students"
  • Early Years Behaviour Support Project: Supporting students with emotional and behavioural needs in rural locations
  • School bullying: perspectives of students with ASD and their parents
  • Use of Resourceful Adolescent Program to enhance emotional wellbeing and school connectedness of adolescents with ASD
  • MeCalendar app co-design project: Supporting communication between home and school and between school settings.
  • Secret Agent Society Program: Use of whole-of-class approach in mainstream schools.
