In this workshop, the facilitator will discuss the issues specific to primary school students with ASD. Current research and the impact anxiety has on students will be discussed. A range of practical strategies will be examined and participants will be involved in discussions involving:
Helping students begin to understand their own diagnosis
Anxiety and its impact on learning
Engagement and Learning
The facilitator will discuss examples and cases to highlight challenges and strategies which may be useful for the individual student.
