Coloured Sand Recall

AQ Precautionary Measures

In light of the recent recall of several coloured educational sand products due to the detection of tremolite asbestos in some batches, Autism Queensland (AQ) is committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our community.

As soon as we became aware of the recall, AQ took immediate action to:

• Cease all use of coloured sand products across our facilities.
• Isolate and secure all stock in heavy-duty plastic bags, double-taped, stored out of reach of children and clearly labelled Do Not Use, as recommended by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC).
