Neurodiversity Works

A practical resource toolkit for employers, managers, and workplaces, bringing together strategies to support the continued development of inclusive workplaces and create meaningful opportunities for autistic and neurodivergent employees.

The Neurodiversity Works (NDWorks) project was delivered by Autism Queensland with support from the Queensland Government Workforce Connect Fund and concluded in June 2025. NDWorks supported employers to build genuinely inclusive workplaces through practical strategies to recruit, retain, and support autistic and neurodivergent employees. The project’s work and learnings have been brought together in this legacy resource toolkit, designed to support employers to continue building more inclusive workplaces.

Introduction: The Legacy Resource Toolkit

The resources below are based on common questions asked by managers during education and retention sessions throughout the NDWorks project. They provide practical guidance to help employers create inclusive workplaces where all employees can thrive. The resources are organised by topic area and designed to be practical, strengths-based, and neurodivergent-affirming. You can browse by topic or start with the question that best matches your current situation.
