Owning My Future: Support Through Life’s Big Changes
5 May 2026
Big changes can feel hard to navigate alone – especially when you’re not sure what comes next. AQ’s Owning My Future program is here to help autistic young people aged 9–25 years and their families plan confidently for the future.
Owning My Future provides practical, personalised guidance during important life transitions. Whether it’s receiving a new diagnosis, changing schools, exploring study or work options, or becoming more independent, the program supports young people and families to make informed decisions and move forward with confidence.
Working step by step, AQ helps participants identify their strengths, set meaningful goals, and build skills for independence and decision‑making. Families are supported to create a clear, tailored plan and connected with the right services, supports and opportunities along the way.
Owning My Future is designed for young people who may not have access to transition planning through other supports, and for families navigating times of uncertainty.
If life feels uncertain and you’re asking, “What do we do next?”, Owning My Future is here to help you take the next step.
Please note: This is not an ongoing service or a replacement for therapy supports. As it is fully funded (eg no cost to the participant) places are limited.
This service received funding from the Australian Government Department of Health, Disability and Ageing.
