Crusaders’ Ride for Autism 2021

The Cooktown Crusaders recently completed their annual Ride for Autism, an initiative started in 2013 aimed at raising funds and awareness for Autism Queensland. The ride saw the group of four travel over 2,000km to sunny Cooktown and back again in an epic two week, east-coast Queensland adventure. Along the way, they experienced some of the most beautiful spots in Australia, including Mission Beach, Malanda Falls and Horseshoe Bay.

Founder, Peter “Mr Heckle” Sheppard said although numbers were low this year due to the current Covid climate, the group still had a great time and were graced with beautiful weather throughout the entirety of the trip. “It was a wonderful trip”, he said. “I believe everyone who went this year are keen to go again next year.”

The Crusaders will be accepting donations until November. If you’d like to show your support by donating head to https://fundraise.autismqld.com.au/fundraisers/CrusadersRideforAutism/
