Professional Development & Parent Education
NEW!!
Coping with Uncertainty in Everyday Situations (CUES) – A workshop for parents of children aged 6-16 years.
Some autistic children have difficulty coping with uncertainty in their environment or change to routines. Without support, these concerns may result in clinically significant and ongoing anxiety difficulties.
CUES@ is a new group program for parents/primary caregivers that helps families understand how to support and manage their child’s challenges with uncertainty in everyday environments. This may help reduce children’s anxiety in these situations.
It is designed to address anxiety relating to uncertainty experienced by children and young people diagnosed with autism. The group focuses on addressing difficulties with uncertainty and providing parents/caregivers with strategies and tools to assist their child to develop a more flexible approach to uncertainty and reduce anxiety around uncertainty.
The program will run for 8 weeks in February/March 2024 from AQ Gold Coast. All sessions will be individualised to meet the needs of each parent and their child.
DATES: Tuesday 6 February-Tuesday 26 March. 9.30am-11.30am or 6.00pm-8.00pm. (Session times may vary depending on participant numbers.) Click here to submit an enquiry.
